Description
Presented is a very rare bronze belt buckle of James Dean by the Hollywood artist Kenneth Kendall. Kendall was known as “The” James Dean artist and sculpted the large bronze busts of Dean that are located at The Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles and in The James Dean Memorial Park in Dean’s hometown of Fairmount, Indiana. Kenneth never kept a record of how many of these buckles were cast, but it is thought that he didn’t make more than 30 of them and probably less. The buckle is solid bronze and measures 2 1/4″ across. On the back he has engraved “James Dean ~ 1931 1955 ~ K Kendall”. Mr Kendall passed away in Los Angeles in 2006.
