Description
Oldtimer’s Day refers to a tradition in Major League Baseball where a team devotes the early afternoon preceding a weekend game to honor retired players who played for the organization during their careers. The retired players play in an exhibition game, usually lasting about three innings.
Presented is a vintage baseball signed by “Oldtimers” that participated in one of these traditional games. The baseball itself is a Oscar Mayer official league baseball. The 17 signatures were comprised of blue/black ballpoint pen (“8-9”). They include: Hall of Famers – Brooks Robinson, Harmon Killebrew and Gaylord Perry. Other signers include: Roy Sievers, Bobby Shantz, Sam McDowell, Moose Skowron, B. Pierce, B. Allen, G. Beckert, L. Bittner, B. Campbell and R. Nye.
