Description
Presented from a team source’s collection is the star quarterback and future NFL star, Vinny Testaverde Miami Hurricanes game-worn jersey. from c. 1985-86 seasons.
It is an orange Hurricanes jersey designed by Russell Athletic. It features Testaverde’s number “14” screen printed on the chest, back, and shoulders in white with orange borders. On the back nameplate, “TESTAVERDE” is printed across the back shoulders in white lettering.
The front chest features his number. The jersey was custom cut in the tail. On the tail, a size “46” tag with a fabric 100% Polyester flap tag.
The jersey shows supreme wear overall with a nice repair on the back under his number “14” still visible as well as scrapes from the gridiron battle. One of the scrapes is most noticible on the sleeve. As an added value for authentication. Testaverde signed the back number in black felt tip (“9”).
PHOTOSTYLE: We have been able to match the font style to NFL Official Scorecard image. You can match the bubble style “T” and the chucky “E” style to the photostyle image of NFL scorecard.
Understandably, this is not a photo match, because the NFL Testaverde Scorecard Jersey has the Rawlings size tag as a size “L” vs, the size “46” as is this jersey which is offered. We do see Testaverde wearing a size “46” Rawlings style jersey as seen in other photo-style images. We also see images of other players on the field with Rawlings Size numerals vs Letter size further verifying the use of the numeric size on Rawlings tags.
The nameplate placement is seen both inches above the player numeral on the back as well as closer to the “14” player identifier as is this Testaverde game-worn jersey offered here.
