Description
Presented is an original scorecard (unscored) from the April 21, 1939, baseball game at Fenway Park between the Boston Red Sox and Philadelphia Athletics. It was future Hall of Famer Ted Williams’ rookie season with Boston, and he collected a hit and a RBI in what turned out to be a 9-2 Red Sox victory that day. The game also featured future Red Sox Hall of Famers Jimmie Foxx, Joe Cronin, Bobby Doerr and Lefty Grove. The fold out page (10″ x 13″ in matte) feature period advertising, the official box score in a display which measures 14.75″ x 18″. Overall, good condition considering it’s 80+ years old – with a few signs of natural wear.
