This award was presented to Earl Lee at the event for AAU Boxing in 1940. He was in the 112 lb. weight class and fought out of Reno, Nevada. The statue is on a square base and it features a boxer centrally with an eagle capping the top. The plaques celebrate his accomplishment. The statue measures 16″ tall and shows minor wear from transport/age.

The Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) of the United States was formed in 1888 and instituted its annual championships in boxing the same year. In 1926 the Chicago Tribune started another amateur competition called the Golden Gloves. It grew into a national competition rivaling that of the AAU.
