1996 Alex Rodriguez Game-Worn Jersey Signed Twice Mariners – COA JSA & 100% Authentic Team

The words Alex Rodriguez and off-year don’t coincide. A-Rod’s star began to take shape in 1994 as an 18-year old rookie. This size “48” gray representation was worn by Rodriguez in 1996 when he hit a career-high .358 with 36 home runs and 129 RBIs. This offensive output only got A-Rod a second-place finish in the AL MVP balloting.

Presented is a game worn Alex Rodriguez Seattle Mariners jersey from that season in 1996. The offered jersey shows decent big league use with puckering on the two-color navy blue- green on white triple tackle twill identifiers as well as loose threading throughout. “RODRIGUEZ” is arched to a nameplate on the verso in the blue/blue green with his jersey number “3” matching below. Navy blue braiding surrounds the collar and flows down the front button path. A gorgeous Mariners team patch (with silver spackletwill threads) accentuates the left sleeve.

Front tail tagging is a Russell Athletic size 48 label is sewn into the tail and accompanied by a “1996” computerized tag and three suspended flag designators: fabric content, “1” Extra Sleeve Length and 2″ Extra Length” A-Rod personally signed the jersey twice both on the front and on the back for authentication in black felt tip. Also included is A-Rod’s game worn short sleeve undershirt. The shirt is an Amapro size XL and custom cut along the bottom.  It was autographed by Rodriguez also in black felt tip (“9”).
