Description
The San Francisco 49ers followed up in 2002 with a 10–6 record and their 17th NFC West title; in this season, Terrell Owens had 100 catches for 1,300 yards and 13 touchdowns. The 49ers hosted the New York Giants in the Wild Card playoff round, and after falling behind 38–14, the 49ers erupted to 25 unanswered points; Owens had two touchdown catches and caught two 2-point conversions in the 49ers’ 39–38 win.
These are Terrell Owens game-worn cleats from the 2002-03 season with the San Francisco 49ers. Nike cleats sports a maroon red with white colorway, grey silver accents on the bottom and back heel stripe. Interior tagging reports a size “15” with “Wear Test Sample” present on the tagging. The shoes have a “T.O.” in red/gold on the tongue. Fine wear is evident with scuffs, dirt residue, and transfer marks. A photo style match from Getty images is present for these games:
November 03, 2002 vs. Raiders.
January 05, 2003 NFC Wildcard Playoffs vs. New York Giants.
January 12, 2003 NFC Divisional Playoffs vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Interestingly, it was an item that came directly from the famous purchase of Terrell Owen’s Storage unit as reported by TMZ. Overall, it is a great NFL collectible by itself but since it came out of the unit with the provenance of being owned and worn by Owens it makes it that more special.
