“Raise Up youth to become successful socially responsible citizens through mentorship imparted to encourage the realization of their full potential while respecting diversity within the community” Our motto is ” Believe it and you WILL achieve it”
Greenwood sums it up best in saying, “To be a success, you must keep in mind that it’s not where you start but where you finish and a plan to start fast and finish strong is essential to reaching one’s goals in life.” Through the Foundation’s vast network of like-minded organizations along with financial support from the local and National community, The Morlon Greenwood Foundation, Inc. has been able to reach over 2,000 youths during the past 4 years and that number is growing evermore day-by-day.”
Morlon Greenwood was selected in the 2001 NFL Draft by the Miami Dolphins. He played four years with Miami including a 2004 season in which he recorded 108 tackles for the Dolphins. In 2005, as a free agent, he signed a five-year contract with the Houston Texans which was worth $22.5 million and featured a $7 million signing bonus. His career with the Texans was highlighted by a 2007 season where he posted 118 tackles. In 2009, he had a brief period with the Oakland Raiders.
Greenwood wore this size “48” jersey during his stay with the Miami Dolphins in 2004. The 03-48 collar tag (year and size) stitched inside the collar. Great overall use is shown with a noticeable hit mark on the shoulder as well as fraying on the identifiers. Each of the numerals is applied in three-color, drop shadow (white, black and green) tackle twill. The NOB (puckered) “GREENWOOD” is sewn to a nameplate. Both sleeve ends as well as the bottom hem are elasticized.
