Description
Shingo Takatsu had a short stint with the Chicago White Sox where he was the closer for two seasons until struggles closing games ultimately led to his demotion to the minors. Despite being demoted in the summer of 2005, he received a World Series ring with the White Sox. He was signed by the New York Mets during the 2005 season, and he pitched in nine games for New York. After the 2005 season, he returned to the Nippon Professional Baseball.
Presented is one of Takatsu’s game worn jerseys from his prime time closer role with the Chicago White Sox in 2005. The jersey is a white pinstriped vest style with the White Sox logo in black/gray on the front and his jersey number “10”. The back of the jersey also features his number “10” and last name “TAKATSU” in shadowed gray/black two color tackle twill. The front features a Majestic Authentic tail tag with swatch indicating the year, size and set edition “05 – 44 – S1”.
