Description

Presented is a Oklahoma City Thunder jersey worn by Derek Fisher during the NBA Finals in 2012. The NBA Finals patch is sewn on the left side chest, above the “OKLAHOMA CITY” in white on blue tackle twill. “FISHER” is arched across the top portion of the jersey’s back in white tackle twill. The number “37” appears on the front and verso in white on black tackle twill. An Adidas/NBA Authentics/Climacool [size] L tag with a “LENGTH+2” flag appears on the left front tail, adjacent to an NBA Authentics ID tag labeled “OTH01442.”

Also included are the game worn matching shorts. They are Adidas [size] 2XL 2 (Length +2 flap) with a handwritten “6” notation in the waistband.

We found a photostyle match JUNE 21:  Derek Fisher #37 of the Oklahoma City Thunder looks on in the second half against the Miami Heat in Game Five of the 2012 NBA Finals on June 21, 2012 at American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida.  This is a possible match based on the hole placements around the Oklahoma & the NBA Finals patch.

On March 21, 2012, after clearing the waivers at 6 pm Eastern time, Derek Fisher signed a contract with the Oklahoma City Thunder for the remainder of the 2011–12 season. The Thunder organization called a pre-game press conference prior to its 7pm game to formally announce the signing. He chose jersey number 37, his age at the time, because his usual No. 2 was taken by Thabo Sefolosha. He made his debut on that night against the Los Angeles Clippers, scoring 5 points. The Thunder defeated the Spurs in the Western Conference finals and advanced to the 2012 NBA Finals, Fisher’s eighth career appearance there. The Thunder would go on to lose the series in 5 games to the Miami Heat.

Hall of Famer Chris Bosh and, Dwayne Wade, and LeBron James formed the Voltron-esque “Big Three” that won the Eastern Conference and a trip to the 2012 NBA Finals. Standing in their way were Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, and James Harden—all future MVPs—and the Oklahoma City Thunder.
