Description
Don Larsen pitched the sixth perfect game in MLB history, doing so in Game 5 of the 1956 World Series. It is the only no-hitter and perfect game in World Series history and is one of only two no-hitters in MLB postseason history (the other being Roy Halladay’s in 2010). He won the World Series Most Valuable Player Award and Babe Ruth Award in recognition of his 1956 postseason.
Phil Rizzuto nicknamed “The Scooter”, was an American Major League Baseball shortstop. He spent his entire 13-year baseball career with the New York Yankees (1941–1956), and was elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1994.
Presented is a New York Yankees logo baseball autographed by both Don Larsen and Phil Rizzuto. Both signed in blue ballpoint with Rizzuto on the sweet spot (“4-5” faded) and Larsen on opposite side (“7”).
