First Issue of “Sports Illustrated” w/ 27 Card Insert

You could say this started it all. Easily the most popular and collected sports publication, Sports Illustrated, debuted in 1954 with Eddie Mathews taking a mighty cut at venerable County Stadium in Milwaukee. This first issue includes the 1954 Topps inserts. The spine on the front cover is intact and tight. Two fold marks appear on the bottom of the front right corner and the back page is in acceptable condition overall VG/EX. A remarkable issue that has survived the years.
The 27-“card” Topps fold-out is positively without objection (VG EX). Ultimately, this collector-favorite is VG EX+ condition
