Description
Dwight Clark played for the San Francisco 49ers from 1979 to 1987. With the 49ers, Clark played on two Super Bowl championship teams. He caught the winning touchdown pass thrown by quarterback Joe Montana in the NFC Championship Game in January 1982 against the Dallas Cowboys. The play, immortalized as “The Catch,” propelled the 49ers to their first Super Bowl championship.
Presented is a Wilson NFL full-size white panel football. It was signed in black felt tip pen (“9”) by both participants of “The Catch” Joe Montana and Dwight Clark. Clark added the inscription, “SF 49ers” and the ball itself has the famous play drawn out. It was signed in commemoration of the 30th Anniversary of the play.
