Description
Here’s a great item for boxing fans! It is an 8×10 black and white portrait of the former boxer and actor Max Baer with his dog. He fought from 1929-1941 and became Heavyweight Champion of the World on June 14, 1934 when he knocked out the massive 275-pound Primo Carnera. His reign ended one day short of a year when he lost the title to Jim Braddock in 15 rounds. His career record was 72-12-0 (with 53 knockouts) which makes him a member of the exclusive group of boxers to have won 50 or more bouts by knockout. This item is distinctly autographed in red felt tip pen on the front “Best always from, Jethro – Max Baer.”
