Description
The 2001 49ers had a 12–4 record but were defeated by the Packers in a Wild Card playoff game. Terrell Owens finished with 16 touchdown catches (half the 32 thrown by Garcia that season) and 1,412 receiving yards. The 49ers followed up in 2002 with a 10–6 record and their 17th NFC West title; in this season, Owens had 100 catches for 1,300 yards and 13 touchdowns. The ensuing season in 2003 proved subpar as the 49ers finished 7–9.
These are Terrell Owens game-worn cleats from his time with the San Francisco 49ers in 2003 (era). Nike cleats sport a red, white and black swoosh colorway. Interior tagging reports a size “15” and correct coding. The back portion of each heel has his jersey number handwritten in black felt tip. Fine game wear is evident with scuffs, field dirt, and transfer marks.
Interestingly, it was an item that came directly from the famous purchase of Terrell Owen’s Storage unit as reported by TMZ. Overall, it is a great NFL collectible by itself but since it came out of the unit with the provenance of being owned and worn by Owens it makes it that more special.
A copy of the original purchase receipt will add proof and provenance.
