This 1968 Super Bowl Program originates from John Rowser who kept it in his family for all of these years (50+). It was his personal signed program he kept along with a team signed Super Bowl I football. Rowser was an American football player, a defensive back in the National Football League (NFL) for ten seasons with the Green Bay Packers, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Denver Broncos. In his rookie season, he was a member of the Packers’ Super Bowl II championship team, Vince Lombardi’s last title. He played college football at the University of Michigan as a cornerback and halfback, from 1963 to 1966.
The 1968 Green Bay Packers season was their 50th season overall and the 48th season in the National Football League. Under first-year head coach Phil Bengtson, the team finished with a 6–7–1 record, third place in the four-team Central Division of the Western Conference.
The second AFL–NFL World Championship Game (known retroactively as Super Bowl II) was an American football game played on January 14, 1968, at the Orange Bowl in Miami, Florida. The National Football League (NFL)’s defending champion Green Bay Packers defeated American Football League (AFL) champion Oakland Raiders by the score of 33–14. This game and the following year’s are the only two Super Bowls played in the same stadium in consecutive seasons.
