Description
Presented is a home white Seattle Mariners knit jersey worn by Macky Sasser. He wore this during the end of his career in 1994.
Sasser was granted free agent status after the 1992 season, signing a two-year contract with the Seattle Mariners. He appeared in 83 games as a backup in the 1993 season where he hit for only a .218 batting average. Seattle demoted him to third-string catcher after that season, appearing in only three games with them in the 1994 season, going hitless in three games before getting released.
Across the front the ”MARINERS” namesake arches in blue, teal and silver sewn on lettering. The circular team logo patch highlights the left sleeve. The right sleeve has a 125th Anniversary Patch. The back has no nameplate with his number “4” is sewn on in navy blue on teal tackle twill. The front tail sports a “Russell Athletic – Diamond Collection” size 46 tag with 100% Polyester flag (only present on pro jerseys) and 1994 year patch. Shows great wear with ruckling on the identifiers. Overall, a great game jersey.
