Description
Tom Killeen is well known in the film industry as a movie magic specialist. Killeen works behind the scenes of the art department tirelessly. He is known for creating and painting designs that help actors morph into the characters they portray or transforming the entire imaginary world around them. Among many films, he has worked on I Am Legend (2007), Independence Day (1996) and The Chronicles of Riddick (2004).
Presented are items from his personal collection. Some of the items are direct from film sets and others are project models he has worked on. The work on the props and models are beyond hobbyist as these pieces were touched by Killeen who has a highly technical and advanced artist skill. He is now ready to bring his form of art to market and have it appreciated by all the movie buffs or monster collectors out there.
From Killeen’s collection is this Mummy’s Chariot statue model kit. The kit is sealed in the box.
This Frightening Lightning edition of the Mummy’s Chariot is a perfect model kit for children who are fascinated with monsters and scary movies. The assembled model actually glows in the dark, adding to its nighttime fright appeal. The gruesome mummy is riding in his golden chariot, with a slew of fire-spewing cobras acting as his mascots. In his hand he is wielding a shovel, presumably after digging himself out of his tomb. Assembly involves patient and extensive gluing (model glue not included). Since the pieces glow in the dark, paint jobs should be spare–such as adding streaks of blood red to his hands and face (paints not included). Children under 12 will need adult supervision and assistance. Caricatures of famous movie monsters. Classic 1960’s model kits. Frightning Lightning edition molded in “Glows in the Dark” styrene plastic.
