This Reebok maroon mesh Washington Redskins home jersey was game issued to Willie Jackson during the 2002 NFL season. “REDSKINS” appears stitched in white below the front collar just above Jackson’s number “83,” which is displayed in white tackle twill. The collar tag patch is stitched “02-42”. His number appears in matching style on the shoulders and back of the jersey, where “W. JACKSON” appears across the top in white tackle twill on a nameplate. The “70th Anniversary” Redskings patch is on the left breast. The Reebok manufacturer’s tag is found on the front left tail [size] “42” (flap). It displays no game wear.
Willie Jackson is a former American professional football wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL) for the Dallas Cowboys, Jacksonville Jaguars, Cincinnati Bengals, New Orleans Saints, Atlanta Falcons and Washington Redskins. He played college football at the University of Florida. As a football coach, he was the wide receivers coach for the Orlando Apollos of the Alliance of American Football (AAF). On October 31, 2002, he signed with the Washington Redskins, reuniting with his former college coach, Steve Spurrier, then head coach of the team. He appeared in 5 games with one start and was cut on December 12.
