Description
Presented is a blue jersey that was worn by University of Florida Gators superstar and former NFL player, Mike Nattiel. On the front, back, and each shoulder is the player number “59” screened on in white and orange. The Gator patch logo is present on the chest, sides are Spandex and the custom elastic sleeves are striped in team colors orange and white.
Across the back is his name “NATTIEL” in white on a name plate. The collar tagging shows it is a NIKE [size] 48 with a black mark notation. The SEC patch is set in the center collar portion and there’s a memorial patch on the front chest “A-ROSS” was for Eraste Autin. Overall, the jersey shows strong wear with repairs (the center of the 9 on the front is most notable), discolorations, helmet marks, hit marks etc. They are present throughout identifiers and shoulder areas which is typical for a defender tackling guys down the field.
Matt Nattiel accepted an athletic scholarship to attend the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, and played outside linebacker for coach Steve Spurrier and coach Ron Zook’s Florida Gators football teams from 1999 to 2002. Nattiel recovered a key fumble in the Gators’ Southeastern Conference (SEC) championship victory over the Auburn Tigers in 2000, and was an honorable mention All-SEC selection in 2002.
Eraste Autin. His promising course was forever altered on July 19, 2001. Autin had just completed the tenth workout with his University of Florida freshman teammates and was making his way toward the locker room when he collapsed as a result of heat stroke.
