Description
Presented is a black and white player postcard autographed by Pinky Higgins. This card 3.5″ x 5.5″ was signed while he was in service with the Boston Red Sox. Higgins signed and dated it to 1957 in felt tip pen (“6” faded but legible). That season the Red Sox finished third in the American League (AL) with a record of 82 wins and 72 losses, 16 games behind the New York Yankees.
Pinky Higgins was an American third baseman, manager, front office executive and scout in Major League Baseball who played for three teams and served as manager or general manager of the Boston Red Sox during the period of 1955 through 1965.
