Elizabeth the II was Queen of the United Kingdom and other Commonwealth realms from February 6, 1952 until her death in 2022. She was queen regnant of 32 sovereign states during her lifetime and remained the monarch of 15 realms by the time of her death. Her reign of over 70 years is the longest of any British monarch and the longest verified reign of any female head of state in history.

Presented is a 1957 Royal  Christmas and New Year card featuring the very first color photograph of the Royal family. It also features their children Prince Charles and Princess Anne. The highlight was that it was signed by both Queen Elizabeth (as her nickname “Lilabet”) and Prince Philip. The card itself folded out measures 9″ x 15″ (in matte) with the display at 15.75″ x 21.5″.
