Description
The Rat Pack was an informal group of entertainers, the second iteration of which ultimately made films and appeared together in Las Vegas casino venues. They originated as a group of A-list show business friends who met casually at the Los Angeles home of Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall.
In the 1960s, the group featured Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., Joey Bishop, and (before falling out with Sinatra in 1962) Peter Lawford, among others. They appeared together on stage and in films in the early 1960s, including the films Ocean’s 11, and Sergeants 3; after Lawford’s expulsion, they filmed Robin and the 7 Hoods with Bing Crosby in what was to be Lawford’s role.
Presented is a Rat Pack photo (29″ x 36″) display signed by all 5 members on cuts – Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., Dean Martin, Peter Lawford and Joey Bishop.
The central portion has a lenticular style photo (Davis, Jr., Sinatra & Dean) then additional photos of the guys (Lawford & Bishop) flanking the sides.
Frank Sinatra’s signature is in black felt tip pen and grades “8-9”, on a (from vintage paper photo).
Sammy Davis Jr.’s signature is in blue felt tip and grades a “9”, on a (from vintage contract).
Dean Martin’s signature is in blue ballpoint and grades a “9” (from parchment paper).
Peter Lawford’s signature is in black pen and grades a “8” (from parchment paper).
Joey Bishop’s signature is in black felt tip pen and grades a “9″ (from 8×10 photo).
The display also features an actual playing card from the Sands Hotel and Casino as well as other decorative medallions.
