Description
Presented is a commemorative copy of the Boston Red Sox winning the World Series in 1918. The edition is a Boston Evening Glove September 11, 1918 copy which showcases the Red Sox big victory. It would be many years before they won another title. The photo of Babe Ruth on the back cover may have had something to do with it. The paper itself has aged (yellow) from storage over the years. The Globe made these reprints in commemoration of big events in Boston’s history.
