Description
Presented is a vintage mid-90’s game worn University of Florida Gators football helmet. It’s important to note that a singular player attribution isn’t easy. During this era, helmets were passed down and reconditioned through other players so several players could have donned this dome. The first possible player attribution via Dymo label (94-045) in the interior is from the 1994 season from which it was worn by #45 Jason Bartley an inside linebacker. The last attribution with name printed (via Dymo label – 57 MOTEN) Mike Moten was a defensive tackle that played for the University of Florida Gators in 1998.
This well-used Schutt helmet has a white facemask and a blue-white-blue stripe bisecting the crown. A “Gators” script decal is adhered to both sides of the helmet. A bumper with “Gators” printed in blue script is affixed on the forehead of the helmet. The facemask shows wear throughout with a chinstrap. The interior features the previously mentioned player identifier labels as well as a warning sticker. The padding system with blue cushioning in the interior is worn with dirt, sticky residue and sweat. Overall, strong use is showcased with wear (deep scratches, scrapes etc.) both inside and out.
