Description
Presented is a display autographed by three members of San Francisco Giants royalty. The “Pride of San Francisco” poster done by Steve Hoskins was signed by Willie Mays, Barry Bonds and Bobby Bonds in pencil (“9-10″). The display measures in at 24″ x 30.5”.
In 1993, Barry Bonds left the Pirates to sign a lucrative free agent contract worth a then-record $43.75 million (equivalent to $92.3 million in 2023) over six years with the Giants, with whom his father had spent the first seven years of his career, and with whom his godfather Willie Mays played 22 of his 24 Major League seasons. The deal was at that time the largest in baseball history, in terms of both total value and average annual salary.
